APC NATIONAL WORKING COMMITTEE MEETS IN ABUJA BY BODE AKINWUMI
The National Working Committee NWC of the All Progressives Congress has ended its consultative meeting with the Progressives Governors Forum in Abuja.
The meeting which took place at the party's National Secretariat in Abuja was presided over by the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun.
In his welcome address the National Chairman recognized specially the Ondo State Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu , SAN, who was attending the meeting for the first time following his inauguration as Ondo State Governor about a week ago. Chief Odigie-Oyegun wished the government and people of Ondo State well under the new dispensation.Â
The Consultative meeting according to the APC National Chairman is the third in the series to prepare for the non- elective convention of the party coming up on the 29th April, 2017.
According to the Chairman, the convention would appraise the performances of APC in government at the Federal and the other two tiers..
Chief Odigie-Oyegun added that there would also be congresses to fill vacancies that may have arisen at Ward,Local Government and State levels.
The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors' Forum and Zamfara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari spoke to newsmen on the resolutions at the consultative meeting which centred on the Mid-term Non-elective Congress that will produce three delegates per state to the National Convention.
He said the APC Governors would henceforth meet regularly to ensure the delivery of good governance to the people
Also speaking to reporters at the end of the meeting, a member of the NWC who is also the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, Senator Osita Izunaso said a National Convention Committee who would soon be announced
Arakunrin Oluwarotimi AKEREDOLU was recently applauded by party faithful on his stance against disloyalty to party positions.
